The areas of activity of the Department are defined under the main headings of training, organization, information and library. These activities are aimed for the cement and concrete sectors, the users and the public, public institutions and organizations, universities and educational institutions and provide effective exchange of information between the members and sectors. The Department holds various organizations and training programmes for the purpose of raising the awareness of the manufacturers, consumers and inspectors in terms of follow-up and promotion of the up-to-date technologies at the national and international level and effective use of cement and concrete. In addition, the Department provides service to the institutions and organizations inside and outside the sector, which need assistance in terms of technical documentation, with a number of periodical foreign journals and publications published on cement and concrete. Within the scope of the documentation activities, the Training Department also offers the journals received through national and international subscriptions for internal use of the employees at the Association. The Training Department, which provides assistance to the “Cement and Concrete World” journal –corporate journal of the TÇMB– in the areas of advertising, content and proofreading, is also responsible for announcing the new publications on the Association's (TÇMB) website.
