The main activities of the Environment and Climate Change Department are summarized below: • With regards to the environmental legislation and practices, to contact and exchange correspondence with the relevant Ministries in line with the decisions on the needs of the sector adopted at the meetings of the Board of Directors of the TÇMB. • Secretariat services of the relevant committee and other TÇMB committee memberships • Active participation in the relevant working groups of the Turkish Union of Chambers and Exchange Commodities • Membership with the CEMBUREAU environmental and climate change working groups • Follow-up of the legislation in Turkey and developed countries and sectorial briefing • Coordination with the members • Contribution to the sectorial parts in the relevant project works of the public institutions • Informing the sector within the scope of legislation, projects and implementations that relate to the future of the sector • Preparation of the TÇMB publications and national/international publications • Participation in and presentation at the relevant national and international symposiums/conferences • Organizing trainings on the priority issues for the sector • Providing Environmental Consultancy services to the facilities within the scope of Environmental Coordination Office established within the body of Commercial Enterprises
