The Department performs activities related to the image and promotion of the sector, which is the most important goal of the TÜRKÇİMENTO, by using all communication tools in the most efficient manner. It plans and holds various conferences, seminars, workshops, organizations such as fairs to introduce the cement sector to the public, to collaborate and exchange information with the non-governmental organizations, national and international professional organizations, universities, related public institutions and organizations. The Association is promoted inside and outside the country. To ensure that these events appear in the media organs, to make the announcements, to make news of the events afterwards are among the important duties of the Corporate Communication Unit. It is also within the area of responsibility of the Unit to maintain regular relations with the institutions such as AUCBM (Arabian Cement and Building Materials Association-2009), CMA (Indian Cement Association-2010) and CCA (Chinese Cement Association-2011), which signed the collaboration protocol. Regular news entries and updates are made on the TÜRKÇİMENTO, TEQR and BPMF websites. The unit also follows up the agenda of the country and the world, identifies the messages and announcements to be made to the public, and contributes to the publication of periodical journals, brochures and informative books aimed for the sector and the public.

Foreign Relations The primary task of the Department is to maintain the relations with the European Cement Association (CEMBUREAU) and European Concrete Paving Association (EUPAVE), which are the International Organizations our Association is a member of. The Department conveys the date, agenda and venue of the Cembureau General Assembly, Board and Committee meetings to the members, helps with the preparations before the meeting and conducts the works of the Turkish delegates to attend to the CEMBUREAU General Assembly, compiles and conveys the information requested by the Cembureau and other external organizations from the Association, compiles, evaluates, analyzes and comments on the information shared by the Cembureau with the Association and shares the conclusions with the members. It also ensures that fees such as subscription, share are paid to the CEMBUREAU and other external organizations in due time on quarterly basis. It publishes “CEMBUREAU Meeting Reports” compiled by the delegates attending to the CEMBUREAU meetings on semi-annual basis. It is also ensured that relations with EUPAVE, to which the TÇMB became a member in 2009, and the ECRA, to which TÇMB became a member in 2013, are maintained in the same manner with the CEMBUREAU. Export requests from Turkey and abroad, which are received by our Association, are shared with our members that are engaged in exports and the request is answered by sharing the contact information of our members with the request owner.
