Is Türkiye a Cement Exporting Country?

As of 2023, Türkiye has firmly established itself as the largest cement producer in Europe and holds the title of the world's leading cement exporter.    

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUİK), the cement sector’s export volume, including non-member plants, witnessed a significant decline of 27.6% in 2023, totaling 19.7 million tons. Of this total, 15.7 million tons is primarily attributed to cement exports, while the remaining 4.0 million tons consist of clinker. In 2023, the total exports of the cement sector declined by 18.3% in value to $1.3 billion. Despite this decline, Türkiye solidified its status as the world’s foremost exporter of both cement and overall exports in this sector in 2023. The export market spanned over 100 countries, with primary markets including the United States, Israel, Syria, and Haiti.
