26 Eylül 2022

Cement Industry Employers' Union (ÇEİS) and TÜRKÇİMENTO, the two umbrella organizations of the cement sector, came together for education. Having set off from the fact that the most important source of sustainable competitive advantage is humans, sector leaders started the Business Management Master's Program (MBA) in collaboration with MEF University. The first lesson of the Cement Sector MBA Program, where 34 employees from the sector will be included, started on September 26, 2022.

These days, in which the importance of human resources is understood, another move came from the cement sector. ÇEİS and TÜRKÇİMENTO, the two umbrella organizations of the sector, took action for the development of sector employees. Accordingly, sector organizations that cooperate with MEF University launched the Business Management Master's Program (MBA). The program, in which 34 employees from different levels will participate, will last for one year.

The program, designed specifically for the cement sector under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Erhan ERKUT, MEF University Vice Rector started on September 26, 2022, following the signing ceremony held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Muhammed ŞAHİN, MEF University Rector; Dr. H. Serdar ŞARDAN, Secretary General of ÇEİS; and Volkan BOZAY, TÜRKÇİMENTO CEO.

Dr. H. Serdar ŞARDAN, Secretary General of ÇEİS, said, “We are aware that in our developing and changing world, an investment in humans is the most valuable one. For this reason, we know that it will not be enough to take responsibility as the sector and that we need to go even further. For this reason, we came together as a sector and launched the MBA program specifically for the cement sector.” Volkan BOZAY, TÜRKÇİMENTO CEO, said, “The cement sector is one of the ones with the highest number of training hours per person. We aim to contribute to both the technical knowledge level and personal development of the employees in the cement sector with our comprehensive training programs that we will launch in the sector. We are always proud of investing in the development of our human resources with the training program, which we have developed in collaboration with MEF University, which we think will contribute to the quality of human resources in our sector, and in which courses such as "Operation and Process Management," "Strategic Management," "Financial Management," "Law," "Sustainability," and "Economy" will be covered.”
